According to the source, the victim is a student in Class 5, the eldest of four children. The family runs a shop selling snacks.

The girl's uncle said in the FIR, "I suspect that a stranger used and took away my niece for wrong purposes, and when she resisted and tried to flee from the spot, she was hit by the accused."

According to sources, several CCTV footages from the area show the accused alongside the minor girl. "After analyzing the CCTV footage, it was found that the accused was known to the minor. They were seen walking and talking together.
