Three were arrested in Tripura in connection with an alleged gang rape of teenager

Makpa's State Secretary, Jitendra Chaudhary, said, "We demand an inquiry to find out the role of Minister Son. If he is accused in the case, then a case should be filed against him immediately."

24X7 Voice 9, Agartala, Tripura (India): Three people have been arrested in a case of alleged gang rape of a 16-year-old teenager in the Unakoti district of Tripura. The police gave this information on Sunday. The opposition party, Congress, and the Marxist Communist Party (MACPA), accusing them of involvement of a ministerial son of the state in the incident, demanded the arrest of all the accused, while the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) dismissed the charge.

The teenager was allegedly raped by a group of youths on October 19 in a three-story house in Kumarghat. Kumarghat. Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Biplab Debwarma reported that three people, including a woman, have been arrested on the basis of the FIR lodged in the case, but some others are still absconding. In the police complaint, the survivor's mother alleged that a woman from the neighbourhood had taken the girl to Kumarghat on October 19 and kept her at the building where she was gang-raped.

Congress has demanded strict action against those involved in crime. Former Congress MLA Ashish Saha told reporters, "A ministerial son's name is coming." So we want a statement on this issue from Chief Minister Manik Saha. We demand the immediate arrest of all the accused. "

Makpa's State Secretary, Jitendra Chaudhary, said, "We demand an inquiry to find out the role of Minister Son." If he is accused in the case, then a case should be filed against him immediately.''

However, the BJP rejected the allegations levelled against the minister. Because he (minister son) was in Agartala when the incident occurred on October 19, the allegations are completely baseless and politically motivated.
